ACE Network: Driving Innovation Through Control Engineering

The ACE Network is dedicated to advancing Automatic Control Engineering (ACE) as a cornerstone for addressing global challenges. By uniting researchers and fostering collaboration, we aim to:

• Develop a shared vision: Create a comprehensive roadmap for UK control engineering research, aligned with national priorities and industry needs.
• Build interdisciplinary bridges: Foster collaboration between control engineers and experts from other fields to tackle complex challenges.
• Nurture future talent: Invest in early-career researchers through networking opportunities.
• Accelerate knowledge transfer: Bridge the gap between research and industry to deliver practical solutions.
• Enhance public awareness: Promote the vital role of control engineering in shaping a sustainable future.
• Establish a Centre of Excellence: To foster collaboration and maximize impact, the ACE Network will establish a Virtual Centre of Excellence in Future Automation and Control. This centralized hub will promote knowledge sharing, industry engagement, and the development of innovative solutions.

Through our four Grand Challenges Research Committees (GCRCs) focusing on AI and Data, Future Mobility, Clean Growth, and Ageing Society, and our EDI (Equality, Diversity Inclusion) and ECR (Early Career research)  groups, we are driving innovation and creating a lasting impact.
